Assessment of Patient Satisfaction on Nursing Services at Obstetrical and Gynaecological Unit of Selected Hospital, Coimbatore

Patient satisfaction with nursing care is considered to be an important factor in explaining patient's perceptions of service quality. Nursing care is one of the major components of Health Care Services. Thus, patients have the right to expect quality of nursing care because nursing staff comprises the vast majority among hospital staff and have the greatest contact with patients. The study was conducted to assess the patient satisfaction on nursing services at obstetrical and gynaecological unit of selected hospital, Coimbatore. The design chosen was descriptive design and purposive sampling was used to select the participants. A total number of 20 mothers were included in this study. Structure Questionnaire was used to assess the patient satisfaction of nursing services. Descriptive statistical analysis was used and the results showed that 60 percentages of mothers were well satisfied with nursing services provided in the obstetrical and gynaecological unit of selected hospital, Coimbatore.
