A Study to Assess the Effectiveness of Planned Teaching Programme on Knowledge regarding Global Warming and its Impact on Health among Middle Adults People at Visnagar City

INTRODUCTION: Global warming is a worldwide environmental problem by which there is an abnormal increase to the level of temperature, particularly in a natural environment. Objective: To assess the knowledge regarding global warming and its impacts on health among people of Visnagar city. To evaluate the effectiveness of Planne teaching programme on knowledge regarding global warming and its impacts on health. To find out association between Pre test knowledge score with their demographic variable. Hypothesis: H1:- There is a significant difference between pretest and posttest knowledge regarding Global warming and its impact on health among people of Visnagar city by giving them planned teaching” H2:- There will be a significant association between level of knowledge regarding Global warming and its impact on health among people of Visnagar city by giving them planned teaching”. Design: Pre-experimental one group pre test post test design was used. Participation: Tool: Structured knowledge Questionnariewas used to assess the level of knowledge among peoples of Visnagar city. Results: -‘t’ test value is 9.84. This value is significant at p < 0.05 level. This indicates that there was significant association between socio-economic status and level of knowledge on global warming in middle adults people. Conclusion: Majority of middle adults people had adequate level of knowledge regarding global warming and impacts on health.
