Isoniazid is an anti -tubercular drug, which is mostly used in the treatment and prevention of tuberculosis. It acts by inhibiting the synthesis of mycolic acid, required for mycobacterial cell wall synthesis in mycobacterium(M) tuberculosis. This article examines published analytical techniques that are reported so far for the determination of isoniazid in bulk, pharmaceutical formulation and biological samples. They include various techniques like spectrophotometry, electrochemical methods, capillary electrophoresis, high performance liquid chromatography, high performance thin layer chromatography, capillary gas chromatography and liquid chromatography-mass spectrophotometry. Keywords
