Non-isothermal kinetics and thermodynamics of solid-state decomposition of polyethylene derivative polypropylene (PP) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) has been investigated through simultaneous thermogravimetric-differential thermal analysis-differential thermo gravimetric [TG-DTG–DSC] under nitrogen atmosphere. Thermal data deduced was used for calculations of thermodynamic parameters through Horowitz-Metzger and coats-Redfern methods along with kinetics and mechanism of degradations according to the method of Sestak , Berggren and Satava.
