Cinitapride and Pantoprazole are available as capsule dosage forms in the ratio 1:13.33. A simple reproducible and efficient method for the simultaneous determination of cinitapride and pantoprazole in marketed formulation was developed. The proposed method is based on the Q-analysis UV-Spectrophotometric method. The absorbance maximum of cinitapride and pantoprazole were found to be 265.5 nm and 268 nm respectively in water. In Q-analysis, the isoabsorptive point for both the drugs was found at 236 nm. The linearity range lies between 5-30 μg/ml for cinitapride and pantoprazole at their respective wavelengths. Both the drugs obey Beers law. The recovery studies confirmed the accuracy of the proposed method.
