The waste water purification and industrial effluents degradation studies have been taken up in the present study using the species of micro organisms collected from wood chips, stream water soil, domestic waste water and effluent from the industries around Khopoli, Lonavala and Bhimashanakr forest. The water and industrial effluent samples were collected together from the Khopoli region for the desired study. The isolated purified cultures can be tested with waste water samples under specific cultural parameters. The conventional characteristics along with acidity, alkalinity, TDS, suspended solids pH, DO, COD, BOD, oils and greases, phenolics and cholorides were analyzed. The effect of micro organisms on purification with respect to different parameters have also been studied. It is found that the posttreatment waste water, effluents can be utilized for different purposes like gardening, floor washing. Keywords

Numerous imidazole derivatives are reported as pharmacological agents like azomycin, clotrimazole, Miconazole, ergothionine, clonidine and moxonidine. One of the most important applications of imidazoles derivatives are treatment for denture and cancer therapy. Imidazoles are in general, well known to possess, anti-cancer activity. These compounds are 5 membered planar ring, soluble in water and other polar solvents. Radziszewski and Jaapproposed the first synthesis of the imidazole corein 1882, starting from 1,2-dicarbonyl compounds, aldehydes and ammonia to obtain 2,4,5-triphenylimidazole [1, 2].Keywords

The effluent and ground water quality viz. temp, pH, E. C., TDS, alkalinity, arsenic, fluoride, D.O., COD, chloride, total hardness, phosphate, sulphate, nitrate and BOD of the Balaghat Sugar Factory Ltd. Ujana Dist. Latur and nearby dug well and bore wells were studied for the pre- and post - monsoon seasons of 2014. The analysis has shown the non-contamination of the ground waters. The ground water at the Ujna station was recorded to have different physico-chemical parameters within the prescribed limits for drinking, cleaning cloths and agricultural purposes. Keywords

The objective of present research work is to provide green technique for synthesis of 2,3-diphenyl quinoxaline. Quinoxaline derivatives are well known in the pharmaceutical industry. A simple, highly efficient and green procedure for the condensation of α-phenylenediamine with α-diketones in the presence of catalytic quantity of iodine. Thevery mild reaction conditions, the high yields of the products, and the use of water as solvent make this methodology an efficient and green route for synthesis of quinoxalines derivatives. Keywords
