Abstract

This study is aimed to determine the analytical parameters of nine plant extracts namely Black Night, Black Wood, Cyndon Daclyton, Caesal Piniaceae, Enicostema Axiuae, Five Leaved Cheast, Milk Hedge, Prickly Poppy and Wood Apple. The analytical parameters that were studied are total ash, Alcohol soluble extractive, water soluble extractive, ether soluble extractives, fatty acid, tannins, vitamin 'C', Acid value, peroxide value, saponification value and carbohydrate. Qualitative analysis was also performed and the elements that were determined are Nitrogen, Sulphur, Carbohydrate, Halogen and Vitamin 'C'.

Abstract

Bis (indolyl) methane derivatives were efficiently synthesized by the condensation reaction of various aromatic aldehydes and indole in presence of nickel chloride as a Lewis acid catalyst in PEG-400 as a recyclable green solvent at room temperature. The use of PEG-400 and nickel chloride offers improvements for the synthesis of bis (indoyl) methanes with regard to the yield of products, short reaction times and green aspects utilizing recyclable and non volatile medium and avoiding any volatile and hazardous organic solvent.

Abstract

Proton-ligand stability constant, metal-ligand stability constants, pK and log k of azelastine hydrochloride with Cu(II), Co (II) and Fe(II) metal ions were determined by pH-metric technique. Irving-Rossotti titration technique was used for determination of stability constants. 1:1 complexes were formed in present investigation in between azelastine hydrochloride (TH) and Cu (II), Co (II) and Fe (II) metal ions.

Abstract

Synthesis of 1,3,4-oxadiazole by the reaction of 2-propyl Benzo imidiazol-2-yl carbohydrazide and 1,3, dihydro iso indo-2-yl acetic acid (Phthalyl Amino Acids) in presence of HCl and phosphoryl chloride. All the newly synthesized compounds were screened antibacterial activity which shows moderate to mild activity, and yield of the synthesized compounds were found to be 62-68%.
