The field experiment to study the effect of microgranular sulphur (Cosavet Ferits WG) on soil properties, nutrient uptake, growth and yield parametes of banana was undertaken at Banana Research Station, Jalgaon during the years 2007 to 2009. Application of sulphur @ 12 g plant-1 through Cosavet Fertis (WG) in two splits recorded significantly higher no. of hands per bunch, maximum bunch weight and yield over control. Application of sulphur @ 9 g plant-1 through Cosavet Fertis (WG) in two splits recorded 137 fingers per bunch, 19.6 kg bunch weight and 87.0 t ha-1 yield which was found at par with application of sulphur @ 12 g plant-1 through Cosavet Fertis in two splits. Lower soil pH and EC were reported in the treatments where sulphur was applied through Cosavet Fertis (WG). Higher nutrient uptake was recorded in the treatment of sulphur @ 12 g plant-1 through Cosavet Fertis (WG) in two splits. Keywords

Field experiment was conducted at Banana Research Station, Jalgaon (M.S.) to find out the amount of N and K2O which can be fed through drip irrigation for banana and the effect of fertigation on soil properties, nutrient uptake and yield of banana cv. GRAND NAINE. Application of 75 % recommended dose of N and K2O through drip at weekly interval in 44 splits up to 300 days and recommended dose of P2O5 by soil placement at the time of planting, found beneficial in terms of banana yield and monetary returns, indicating 25 % saving in N and K fertilizers due to use of fertigation technique. Uptake of nutrients was increased in the fertigation treatments as compared to the conventional method of fertilizer application. Keywords
