Abstract

The present experiment was carried out during theKharif 2010 at Instructional Farm, Department of Agronomy, College of Agriculture, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh. The experiment was laid out with four replications and nine treatment combinations, considering three levels each of zinc (0, 25 and 50 kg ZnSO₄ha^-1) and iron (0, 25 and 50 kg FeSO₄ha^-1). The results of experiment indicated that, application of ZnSO₄ @ 50 kg ha^-1 significantly increased plant height, number of leaves per plant, immature green fruit girth, immature green fruit yield, dry pod yield, stalk yield and protein content at harvest. Among different levels of iron application of 50 kg FeSO₄ ha^-1 significantly increased number of leaves per plant, immature green fruit girth, immature green fruit yield, dry pod yield, stalk yield and protein content at harvest of okra.
