Production Functions of Industrial Estates in Mysore

This study involves the estimation of production functions of the Cobb-Douglas type for the seven industrial estates in Mysore and their control blocks. The few studies which have appeared on the empirical production functions relate either to the industrial sector as a whole, or to a particular industry coverings various sizes of units, or to the whole country. Production functions for the industrial sector as a whole reflect the averages of individual industries whose products are assumed to be homogeneous.
