An Input-Out Table of the Indian Economy for 1959

The Economic Division of Planning Commission, Government of India, constructed an input-output table relating to the year 1959 at producer's prices. That table was presented and discussed at the conference, and is being reproduced here together with the available notes relating to the sources consulted and the methodology adopted in its preparation. For the sake of facilitating analytical work, the corresponding input coefficients' matrix and the inverse of the Leontief matrix are both prepared end presented here in Tables 2 and 3 respectively.
