Effects of Investigator's Bias on Collection of Data

The note presents the result of an analysis undertaken with a view to examining the effects of investigator's bias on the reliability of data collected in a survey by the interview method. For this purpose, the information, relating to consumer expenditure on clothing, collected during 1955 in Poona from a sample of 545 families, is utilized.
