Estimation of Cost of Children in a Family

An attempt is made in the present note to estimate the cost of children in families of some specific size and composition, following the method of estimation proposed by Mr. Nicholson. For this purpose, information regarding annual clothing expenditure and annual family income for some 223 families covered in the cloth consumption survey conducted in Poona during 1955 has been used.
