A Rare Case of Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy - Anaesthetic Management
Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy (LGMD) refers to a genetically heterogenous group of muscular dystrophies that present with weakness mainly involving the shoulder and hip girdles (1). Most of the complications from anaesthesia in LGMD are secondary to anaesthetic drugs on myocardial and skeletal muscles (2). Use of possible highest standards in perioperative monitoring made the anaesthesia applications safer in this reported case.
