Perioperative Management of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus with Hypothyroidism Patient Posted for Medical Termination of Pregnancy

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disease with heterogeneous presentation. It is characterized by the presence of autoantibodies directed against nuclear antigens. Prevalence of SLE is about 1 per 1000 with female to male ratio of 10:1, peak age of onset being between 15 and 40 years, therefore it may coexist with pregnancy.
