Transient wall motion abnormality of the left ventricular (LV) apex accompanied with emotional or physical stress is seen in Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TCM) which mimics acute coronary syndrome. It is characterized by a transient hypokinesis of the left ventricular (LV) apex resolving within a few days.
