Laparoscopy is associated with pneumoperitoneum, which leads to haemodyanamic changes. The aim of the present study was to evaluate and compare the effects of oral clonidine v/s placebo in obtunding haemodynamic response to laryngoscopy, intubation and pneumoperitoneum in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Post-operative sedation and other side effects were also observed.
