Comparative Study of Intravenous Midazolam and Intra Venous Dexmedetomidine as Premedication on Hemodynamic Stability in Patients undergoing Middle Ear Surgeries - A Randomized Control Study
Surgery represents an enormous time of stress for the patient. Satisfactory preparation and medication facilitate uneventful intraoperative and perioperative course.The selective α2 agonist dexmedetomidine has been used in various surgeries. Benzodiazepines like midazolam have been used for allaying the anxiety and sedating the patients. This study aims at comparing the efficacy of i.v. dexmedetomidine and the more commonly used i.v. midazolam on hemodynamic stability in middle ear surgeries.
