Sustainable agriculture is one of the key target areas of research around the globe. With ever-increasing population, there is huge pressure on ever declining fertile soils to produce more and more food. The quality and quantity of productive soils have declined drastically in the last fifty years or so, attributed mainly to the indiscriminate use of chemicals such as pesticides and fertilizers.
