Ayurveda, the traditional Indian system of healthcare, has seen many ups and downs with respect to its education, practice and research in history. Several studies have shown a generally declining quality of Ayurveda education concerning clinical competencies among its graduates. This is primarily because the theories and principles documented in classical textbooks of Ayurveda have not yet been properly rendered into a directly applicable format.

Abstract

Ayurveda, the traditional Indian system of healthcare, has seen many ups and downs with respect to its education, practice and research in history. Several studies have shown a generally declining quality of Ayurveda education concerning clinical competencies among its graduates. This is primarily because the theories and principles documented in classical textbooks of Ayurveda have not yet been properly rendered into a directly applicable format.
