The Entomological Society of India (ESI) established in 1938 completed 80 years of service to Indian and world science in 2018. The present article captures a few milestone events during its inception in 1938 and its 25th anniversary in 1964, further to a few in between. The Indian Journal of Entomology, the official organ of ESI, was launched in 1939 and has an intricately intertwined history along with ESI.Full Text
