Seismic Performance of Partially Prestressed Frame Supporting Transfer Beam with Reinforcement of CFRP Bars
The carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) bars were assembled on the top and bottom of the transfer beam. Pseudo-static test was carried out on the partially prestressed frame supporting transfer beam with CFRP bars. The cracks development law and reinforcement strain law of the specimens were analyzed. Moreover, the failure pattern, bearing capacity, hysteretic curve and seismic performance were also studied. The test results indicated that crack development in the middle region of the transfer beam could be effectively prevented by prestressing the CFRP bar, giving the formulated transfer beam a better bearing capacity. In addition, the yield-to- tensile ratio of 1.31 and the full hysteresis curve confirmed that the partially prestressed frame supporting transfer beam formulated with CFRP bars possessed satisfied seismic performance.
