Along with the constant development of computer science and database, GIS presents a broad space for growth. As an additional access to GIS studies, spatial data mining technology is expected to produce more achievements in the GIS field. The Apriori algorithm, which embodies the association rules of GIS, is studied in this paper. It is also the pillar of our spatial association rule algorithm founded on concept tree. In this paper, after analyzing and discussing the integration pattern of spatial data mining and GIS technology, we organized them into a GIS-based spatial data mining model of practical meanings. The research findings positively promote the multi-discipline application of GIS technology.
