Susceptibility Analysis of 10 Catchments in Beijing Based on Path Analysis and FCM
Susceptibility analysis is an effective method to understand debris flows. It can provide the basis for prevention and reduction of natural disasters. There are many impact factors, but the correlation coefficients are different and some factors are difficult to obtain. 10 catchments in Beijing were investigated to get the values of impact factors. 10 conventional factors are chosen to evaluate the debris flow characteristics. Some factors are reduced by path analysis to reduce the complexity in analysis progress. FCM (Fuzzy C-means algorithm) is proposed to sort the susceptibility of debris flows into three grades:slight, moderate and severe. The results coincide with practical situation of the 10 catchments which is shown that the proposed method is effective and feasible. It contributes to preventing disasters and design of the road.
