In this work a new device for continuous monitoring of liquid level in a tank is proposed. Monitoring of liquid level in storage tanks is necessary for various process industries in order to use the liquid safely, efficiently and to keep the record of liquid consumption which helps in accurate cost allocation and optimizing the plant efficiency. In this work a submersible pressure sensor is installed at the bottom of the tank. Submersible sensor senses the pressure imposed on it by the liquid. This sensor is interfaced with a microcontroller to calculate the volume of the liquid as a function of pressure.
