EMMPAQ–An Electronic Device for Elephant Monitoring in Musth Period and Controlling the Quarrelsome Elephant

The project―An electronic device for ELEPHANT MONITORING IN MUSTH PERIOD AND CONTROLLING THE QUARRELSOME ELEPHANT‖ will be really useful for protecting the elephants in the musth and in the ruining conditions . The electronic injector, sensors, controller, muscle lockers and transmitters will be placed in the elephant body for monitoring, sending information and for controlling the situations. By implementing this project, we can observe the elephant pulse ratings, temperature, pressure and ECG. So the doctor can easily identify the physical condition of the elephant. Moreover even solar cells together with lithium ion battery are provided in this biomedical instrument for the energy requirement. In day time this cells will charge and store the electricity needed for the system During the musth period, it is not easy for a doctor to check an elephant. With this device doctors can monitor elephants from a distance. Zigbee technology is utilizing for receiving results from monitoring sections. As per the doctors instruction, remote controlled injector will be automatically inject medicine to the elephant body for in all critical conditions. The muscle locker can be used to chain the violent elephant. Sometimes in pooram festivals, this may happens due to the noisy atmosphere or due to mischievous behaviour from people. At that time to avoid attack from elephants mahout can activate this muscle locker using remote controller. So the elephant will not step forward for some period. At that time mahout can chain the animals leg and he can avoid a big issue.
