Use of Cloud Computing Concepts to Improve Blended E-Learning System

This paper describes about a new methodology which can be followed in education system of India. E- Learning can bring about a new dimension to traditional education system. Learning can be made self-paced and interesting. Geographical barriers can be removed and courses can be made accessible according to learner’s schedule. New curricula based on blended learning made may improve the knowledge of learner. Blended learning involves attending lectures both by attending colleges and by accessing them online. Smart boards can be used for teaching and to share the notes online for access of students attending colleges online. Websites can be made for every college in a university. So information can be shared throughout the colleges in a university. Assignments and assessments are made online which reduces burden to faculty. Students can select the subjects according to their career interests. Students who miss a class can access the archive to learn what was taught on that day. Implementation of cloud computing environment provides common business applications online that are accessed from a web browser, while the software and data are stored on the servers. When the e-learning applications are installed in the cloud the expense of the student who uses these applications can be reduced. Colleges, with the available resources are capable of implementing a cloud computing environment for students. This will certainly improve the capability of a student and the standard of the institution.
