Novel Materials for Real Time Waste Heat Recovery in the Automobile Mufflers
Subscribe/Renew Journal
To counter act the environmental pollution and energy crisis, we manifest an energy efficient technique for the utilisation of waste heat energy from automobiles. Here a carbon material is made to vibrate and these vibrations are induced by the thermal waste, from where the required frequency is obtained. This frequency emanated from the carbon material is because of its elastic property. The transformation of the mechanical vibrations to electromotive force (EMF) can be achieved, when the adjacent material (Say a wire) is in accordance with the piezo-electric material. This paper also described the practical pursuit of the above process and to enhance the efficiency and various carbon based material for this application and performance comparison.
