Artificial Neural Network Model for Control of Hydraulic Jump

End weir of particular geometry is used to control the location of hydraulic jump in the physical model of rectangular stilling basin. Normally hydraulic model studies are carried out with few numbers of discharges and it is presumed that the performance of model is consistent for intermediate values. In the present study ANN is used to model the experimental data and most suitable architecture is identified. This ANN is used to predict intermediate values of various parameters amongst available experimental values. This will be useful in getting a continuous spectrum of variation of the parameters instead of discrete values.
