In order to facilitate decision-making processes, meetings are quite often held because all parties can be involved and relevant issues can be discussed/addressed collectively in a single setting. It has been seen that managers spend about 1/3rd of their total work time in carrying out group meetings which sometimes prove to be inefficient, failing to resolve issues. In order to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of group meetings, a system known as Group Decision Support System (GDSS) has been developed. This paper gives a an introduction of the system, explains how GDSS helps meeting groups in different scenarios not only to share the information generated by computers, but also to edit it simultaneously, with immediate results.
