Stovetop cooking is one of the world's most universal energy-consuming activities. Consumers in industrialized countries choose from numerous stovetops and ovens using LPG, natural gas, and electricity. LPG is the most efficient fuel in many regions for cooking. LPG provides a multi-purpose and reliable energy supply, making it widely used in hotels and restaurants. Though it has efficient features, it results in hazardous and toxic impacts for human beings due to leakage of such gas. To overcome this problem we need some monitoring and detection system. In this paper work LPG gas sensor is used for sensing gas leakage and the result is produced in audiovisual format, in such a way alerts users through Short Message Services (SMS). With fast requital time the gas sensor has excellent sensitivity. Other feature of gas sensor includes sensing of propane isobutene and cigarette smoke. This paper comprises on both software and hardware design approaches.
