Improving Memo Ability of Password in Persuasive Cued Click Points Graphical Password Authentication Mechanism
Subscribe/Renew Journal
Numerous graphical password schemes have recently been proposed as alternatives to traditional text password authentication. This paper presents a knowledge based authentication mechanism, Persuasive Cued Click-Points (PCCP), a cued recall graphical password technique, along with audio signature to improve the recalling of the password. In this system, password is a sequence of click points within a viewport of different images considered in a sequence. Along with this user has to select an audio signature corresponding to each click point. This audio signature will help the user to remember the click point from the viewport of an image. The persuasive technique discussed in this paper presents a middle ground between insecure but memorable user-chosen passwords and secure system generated random passwords that are difficult to remember along with a clue, an audio signature, to remember the click points. Using these audio signatures, it will be easier to use the hotspots in the viewport, and to remember them easily. Thus overcoming the difficulty of remembrance experienced in Persuasive Cued Click Points technique.
