This paper deals with comparison of sine PWM and Space vector modulated inverter fed induction motor drives. The aim of this work is to identity the best PWM for induction motor drive using MATLAB/SIMULINK. The drive systems are modeled using mat lab Simulink and the results are presented. These drives have advantages like reduced harmonics and heating. . Fixed AC is converted into DC and this DC is converted into variable voltage and variable frequency AC using SVM inverter. The output of inverter is applied to the stator of induction motor. The simulation results are compared with the analytical result.

Abstract

This paper deals with comparison of sine PWM and Space vector modulated inverter fed induction motor drives. The aim of this work is to identity the best PWM for induction motor drive using MATLAB/SIMULINK. The drive systems are modeled using mat lab Simulink and the results are presented. These drives have advantages like reduced harmonics and heating. . Fixed AC is converted into DC and this DC is converted into variable voltage and variable frequency AC using SVM inverter. The output of inverter is applied to the stator of induction motor. The simulation results are compared with the analytical result.
