Border security is the lifeline for any country. Soldiers are prone to risking their life in the event of saving the nation. Landmines are the major risk factor in border security. Detecting landmines in open arena or deep forests is always a challenging factor for army personnel. Landmines placed by both the home country and the adjacent countries along the international border posts a major threat to the lives of the infantry. Currently human beings are directly involved in locating the mines. This causes serious injury costing the lives of the soldiers. This problem could be overcome by using autonomous robots in the trajectory. These robots in addition could be used in tracking the safest path for soldier’s movements and mapping the route to the soldiers with the help of a dedicated algorithm. This could effectively reduce the death rate in border security and thereby increasing the safety of soldiers.  The outcome of this work might bring a major impact in the safety of the border security personnel
