Smart and Secured Automated Electronic Toll Collection System

Demands for faster and greater vehicle throughput technologies are providing the basis for another tolling evolution—including new concepts where toll booths give way to all-electronic, non -stop, open road tolling. Therefore as an initiative step here is a system for controlling the vehicle congestion, long queues, pollution and theft at toll gates. Here this paper introduces a system that uses RFID tag which radiates the Radio frequency waves through which the microcontroller can analysis the registered user and allow them to pass through the toll. The main aim of the paper is to provide a fast and safe toll collection system that would recognize the unauthorized person passing through the toll, as well as the situation where the vehicle is taken without the permission of the owner.
