Gait recognition refers to automatic identification of person based on the style of walking. It is a new biometrics recognition technology. It has accomplished a series of achievements in scientific research in recent years. This paper proposed a new algorithm which is based on Bezier curves. The Bezier curves are formed according to person’s walking style. The recognition is achieved by matching those curves values and calculates the mean values of Bezier curves, then these mean values are used for recognition. In this paper the side-view of the person is consider. The experimental result shows that the proposed algorithm provides better recognition rate and has a good performance.
