In Future vehicles are equipped with recognizing, computing and communication potentials. Different kind of devices such as OBU and AU in a vehicle will have to continuously reciprocate the available data with other vehicles on the movement patterns and provide cooperation to ensure safety and ease in VANET. Specific Data like hazardous situations (like collision), speed limit, curve speed warning ,work zone warning, accidents, lane-changing etc play a vital role for applications related to safety in Vehicular Ad hoc Network. Collecting and diffusing such types of data is challenging because of their delay sensitive nature. This paper compares a model based on intelligent software agent that execute forward (collect/cache and diffuse) and retrieve (collect/cache) operation on collected data based on data emergency and needfulness with the existing robust broadcast protocol scheme. Result of simulation shows that collection and diffusion of data using intelligent software agent scheme performs better than the robust broadcast protocol scheme in terms of bandwidth utilization, packet delivery ratio and latency.
