





Design and Implementation of a Dynamic Vision Sensor (DVS) Based High Efficient Device Control System

This paper proposes the use of one dimensional hologram technology to control specific devices. Hologram is a photographic recording of a light field, rather than an image formed by a lens. This is used to display the one-dimensional image of the subject, which is seen without the help of intermediate optics or special glasses. Dynamic Vision Sensor (DVS) detects the temporal contrast of brightness and has the fastest response time compared to conventional frame-based sensors, which detects static brightness for every frame. In this paper, a design of proximity sensing with the aid of DVS is proposed. This can estimate the distance from DVS to an object by analyzing the spatial information from the reflection of the additional light source. It also uses pattern recognition based on time domain analysis of the reflections when the light source is switched on, to avoid wrong proximity detection of unwanted noise such as light sources and motions. The results are obtained using the VR software.
