A Brief Assessment on Video Segmentation and its Techniques

With latest advances in multimedia technologies, data is being captured, produced and stored in huge level. Content Based Video Retrieval (CBVR) becomes a suitable solution in managing the video databases. First necessary step in Content Based Video Retrieval is Video Segmentation. This paper gives a review about current trends or methods for video segmentation. This work has been done with an aim to support the future researchers in the field of video retrieval to know about the technology and methods available for segmentation of videos.
