Load Flow Methods in an Electrical Transmission System-A Case Study

The transmission system basically comprises of power system and distribution system, with the presence of the generation system differentiating the above systems. This paper discusses the difference in the methods of load flow analysis in both the systems, driven by the difference in the presence of generation system. The power system incorporates the classical Newton-Raphson Method whereas, Backward/Forward Sweep Method is used in the distribution system for a radial network.
