Literature Survey for Diminution of Envelope Fluctuation in SC-FDMA System for Uplink Transmission
Subscribe/Renew Journal
OFDM is one of the multicarrier modulation techniques. Owing to its various advantages such as high spectral efficiency, less complexity it has a major drawback of high PAPR. There are number of techniques that helps in reducing PAPR. Some of them are amplitude clipping, filtering, coding, partial transmit sequence (PTS), selective level mapping (SLM) and interleaving. These techniques greatly reduce the PAPR but with increase in transmit signal power and bit error rate. The new technique SC-FDMA gives better PAPR reduction and maintains the bandwidth efficiency while the other existing methods fail in maintaining the bandwidth. The PAPR reduction is achieved by using pulse shaping filters of various roll-off factors and the most commonly employed is ischolar_main raised cosine filter. This literature survey discusses all the existing PAPR reduction techniques and their performance.
