Energy Aware Next Hop and Route Selection with Improved Throughput (ENT) for Wireless Sensor Network
Subscribe/Renew Journal
The wireless sensor network is deployed where human intervention is highly risky. It transmits the sensory data to a remote location where the processing and control of data takes place. The system is advantageous in many ways. But the limitation in battery power reduces the lifetime of the network. The life time of the network can be increased by framing an energy efficient protocol at different layers of the network. In network layer the routing protocol plays a vital role. Various routing protocols proposed for the system consider only the static condition of the nodes. The proposed protocol Energy aware Next hop and Route selection with improved Throughput for wireless sensor network (ENT) proposes a system with two phases, where the former focuses on neighbor node selection and latter focuses on route establishment based on fuzzy logic. The proposed system also considers the mobility of nodes. Simulation results show that this method has been very effective in increasing of remaining energy and network lifetime.
