Dynamic Parallel Chunk Switching (DPCS) scheme effectively minimizes the average download time in P2P network, P2P is popularized by file sharing applications, but the average download time in P2P network is more due to different source peers have different service capacity and fluctuations of service capacity in single source peer. Our method DPCS can removes effect of these negative factors, thus the download time is decreases. And we show that our method performs better than other algorithms which are in use through the simulation. The minimizing the average download time is increases the efficiency of the network.

Abstract

Dynamic Parallel Chunk Switching (DPCS) scheme effectively minimizes the average download time in P2P network, P2P is popularized by file sharing applications, but the average download time in P2P network is more due to different source peers have different service capacity and fluctuations of service capacity in single source peer. Our method DPCS can removes effect of these negative factors, thus the download time is decreases. And we show that our method performs better than other algorithms which are in use through the simulation. The minimizing the average download time is increases the efficiency of the network.
