Optimized Power Management Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks
Subscribe/Renew Journal
IEEE 802.11 is currently the most popular medium access control(MAC) standard for mobile ad hoc networks(MANETs). Mobile nodes are tending to move freely. Each node can configure themselves and act as a router to forward their information. On the other hand, clustering in MANETs is a promising technique to ensure the scalability of various communication protocols, thus, we proposed an optimal asymmetric and maximized adaptive power management protocol, called OAMA, for 802.11 based clustered MANETs. OAMA achieves minimum ABI-ratio and maximized adaptive ness for IEEE 802.11- based clustered MANETs. OAMA adopts a cross layer SRIs adjustment scheme such that station can adaptively tune the value of SRI to maximize energy conservation according to flow timeline requirement.
