A Descriptive Review of OSPF with Java RMI
Subscribe/Renew Journal
Data Communication is an essential part in all means of modern era. Like a simple linguistic conversation between people, data communication also based on set of rules called protocols. However, the essential part is how this information is exchanged over the different administrative domains. Open Shortest Path Fist (OSPF) is one of the best examples to study/understand the concept of routing. Understanding OSPF working practically is only possible in live environment or by having some expensive hardware (routers). On the other hand, this can be easily achieved by computer simulation or some program that gives real picture of OSPF. The main motive of this paper is to exemplify the concept of OSPF and how it can be easily implemented by using Java Remote Method Invocation (RMI). Hence, this paper is divided into two parts; OSPF concepts and implementation OSPF simulator using Java RMI.
