Distributed Submission In Grid Environment Using A Hierarchical Model

The objective of this paper is application management in a grid-computing environment. This is one of the challenges in grid computing research, which aims to provide means to automatically submit, manage, and monitor applications, which spread a large number of tasks. Application management in a grid environment is the task of submitting and monitoring the execution progress of all tasks that compose the user application. Here, the focus is on the applications that spread a huge number (thousands) of tasks and manipulate very large number of files across the grid. A Hierarchical model is proposed to perform such application management. This model is composed by several steps and allows a distributed submission of the application. This model is an application management system for grid environments.
