In job level scheduling, jobs are selected from job queue and in task level scheduling, task of jobs are scheduled. Scheduling strategies decide when and which machine a task is to be transferred for processing. This paper takes a review of research on static job scheduling algorithms for load balancing in a cloud network. This review is broadly analyzed considering important performance parameters such as data locality problem, fairness, response time, resource sharing and load balancing. This paper reviews the various workflow algorithms.
