Wireless Power Transmission Using Inductive Coupling
Subscribe/Renew Journal
Wireless power is one of the most attractive new technologies with consumers. Wireless energy transfer or wireless power is the transmission of electrical energy from a power source to an electrical load by inductive coupling without artificial interconnection of conductors. It works on the principle of mutual induction, same as that of transformer principle, when split into two halves, with a certain distance between the transmitter and the receiver coils. According to this principle, one coil can even send power to several receiving coils, as long as they all resonate at same frequency. This method of power transfer is non-radioactive energy transfer. In this project we have a transmitter and a receiver coils used to transmit and receive energy, and also a circuit to generate specific frequency. Wireless transmission is useful in cases where interconnecting wires are inconvenient, hazardous, or impossible. This technology is most efficient and safest solutions to consumer’s expectations. It has shown that a desire to simplicity powering and charging experience and add a new level of convenience.
