The conceptual idea of paper involves in enhancing direct torque control system for induction motor Drive. In today's world cost effectiveness and device utilization are most essential attributes for any drive system. The paper presents Four Switch Three Phase Inverter (FSTPI) drive system for induction motor and Direct Torque Control methodology is used for pulse generation to inverter. The focus of concern for enhancement is done by increasing Voltage switching vector. Generally, FSTPI consists of four general Switching vectors which is increased to six Switching Volatge Vectors in α-ß plane. This approach allows us using the well-known established switching table of Six Switch Three Phase Inverter (SSTPI) for FSTPI. The enhancement in control System of drive is validated and verified by simulation results using Matlab/Simulink.
