Abstract

Pressure Vessels are commonly used device in Chemical and Process Industries. Until recently all the primary analysis method was hand calculations [1]. Now a day Computer advances have made Finite element analysis a practical tool in the study of Pressure Vessels, especially in determining Total Deformation, Equivalent (Von mises) Stress, Equivalent (Von mises) Elastic Strain. Having tested three dimensional models, the basic conclusion is that Finite element analysis is a most powerful tool when used it correctly. It depends on the desired solutions. There are different methods exists, which gives faster run times and less error. Wind engineering analyses effects of wind in the natural and the built environment and studies the possible damage inconvenience or benefits, which may results from wind. In the field of engineering it includes strong winds, which may cause discomfort, as well as extreme winds, such as in a heavy storm, which may cause wide spread destruction.
